The Swiss Center for Open Research is a speculative institutional design project developed through the MA thesis Research in Dialogue at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU).
The project proposes a design-led support structure for doctoral researchers, helping them communicate, situate, and extend the public relevance of their research within and beyond academic contexts. It brings together Swiss research policy, science communication, public engagement, and transdisciplinary design to imagine how research support could become more accessible, structured, and institutionally embedded.

Addressing this gap requires structural support and collaboration, starting from the doctoral level.
